The Men in Blue had touched down in the country on Wednesday and got down to business straight away ahead of their first warm-up clash against New Zealand on Saturday. India will then take on Bangladesh in their second practice match on Tuesday.

The first match of ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 will be played between England and South Africa on May 30 at the Oval while India will open their campaign against the Proteas on June 5 at the Rose Bowl.

India’s 15-member squad: Virat Kohli (C), Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Mohammed Shami, Shikhar Dhawan, KL Rahul, Vijay Shankar, MS Dhoni, Kedar Jadhav, Dinesh Karthik, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

India’s jersey is yet to be released and will see the players wear a darker blue in the front, whereas orange will dominate the sleeves as well as the back.

On the other hand, teams like Pakistan, Bangladesh, and South Africa have a common colour – green jerseys. As a result, these teams will also need to look for alternatives for a few matches in the tournament. Australia, Windies and New Zealand should not have to change the colours since they already having distinct jerseys.

Jasprit Bumrah, the top-ranked ODI bowler in the world, leads the pace battery alongside Mohammed Shami, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, and Hardik Pandya.

While wrist spinners Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal can add variety to India’s attack.
