Telecom operator, Bharti Airtel has now revised its Rs. 119 plan to offer lesser data benefit. The telecom service provider earlier had removed the Rs. 99 prepaid plan and hiked the price by Rs. 20 to Rs. 119. Now, to fall in line with the other leading telecom operator, Vodafone, Airtel has reduced the data benefit by 1 GB. Earlier, Airtel used to offer 2 GB or 2G/3G/4G data benefit with the Rs. 119 plan. The plan also used to offer unlimited voice calling and 300 SMS for 28/14 days. But the revised plan now offers 1 GB of data for the same 28/14 days validity.
Rs. 119 prepaid recharge has been introduced as a segmented tariff plan in all the 22 telecom circles. Airtel is apparently offering two types of benefits- Rs. 119 prepaid recharge offers 1 GB of 4G/3G/2G data, unlimited voice calling and 300 SMS for a period of 28 days and 4G/3G/2G data along with unlimited local, STD, and national roaming calls, and 300 SMS for 14 days. Airtel prepaid users can check for the availability of the plan by going through the company’s website or My Airtel mobile app.
The validity and the data benefits differs for every user. Very few users are getting the plan for 28 days, while the open market benefits are for 14 days. Users can recharge the plan by going on the company’s website or through the mobile app. If they fall under the segmented offer, they’ll get the plan for 28 days, otherwise for 14 days.
