Darbar Movie: Rajinikanth’s cop role opposite Nayanthara REVEALED

Reportedly, Dalip Tahil has also joined the team. Bollywood actor Prateik Babbar to play the antagonist’s son in the film. Santosh Sivan is the cinematographer and music of this movie is given by Anirudh Ravichander.

Megastar Thala Rajinikanth and Nayanthara starrer Darbar have been in the limelight since its inception. After making an official announcement about the film’s title and unveiling the first look, the team has now kick-started the shooting of the film a few days ago in Mumbai. The entire cast and crew of AR Murugadoss’ Darbar commenced the shooting of the film in Mumbai. Interestingly, Rajinikanth will be leading the role of a cop(Police Officer) after almost 25 years, having last played a cop in the film Pandiyan (1992). Thalaiva fans are pretty excited and can’t wait to know what’s in the stores next for them after Petta.

However, a lot of speculations about the film’s storyline were doing rounds on social media, it is being said that Darbar is going to be a full action-packed film and will see Rajinikanth playing the role of an encounter specialist police officer. India Today quoted a source close to the film’s unit saying, “The film comprises of action, thrill, and drama. And Rajinikanth, probably, plays the role of an encounter specialist.” The makers of Darbar are trying their best to keep everything about the film under wraps and covers. Recently, a few pictures of Rajinikanth and Nayanthara playing cricket on the sets have made their way to social media.

The makers of Darbar movie recently wrapped up the first schedule of the film in Mumbai and will kick-start the second schedule from May 29th.
