Kanishk Kataria topped the UPSC Civil Examination. Kanishk Kataria said in an interaction with ANI that this is a very amazing moment. I did not expect that I would get the first rank. I thank my parents, sister, and girlfriend who gave me moral support. People would expect me to be a good administrator and this is my intention. Kanishka Kataria passed the examination with mathematics as an alternative subject. He has done B.Tech in computer science.
Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) released the final result of the Civil Services Exam (UPSC Result 2019) on Friday evening. The result of the examination (UPSC Civil Services Result) is available on the official website of the UPSC www.upsc.gov.in. The names of 759 candidates for the posts of IAS, IPS, and IFS, etc. have been announced, out of which 577 are male and 182 are female. In the first place, after Kanishka Kataria, the second place is secured by Akshat Jain.
Junaid Ahmed, who took the training of the IRS, has achieved the third rank in the country. The fifth rank holder, Srishti Jayant Deshmukh, is number one in the women’s category.
Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2018, was held on June 3, 2018. In this examination, 10,65,552 applicants had applied, out of which 4,93,972 people appeared. A total of 10,468 candidates passed in order to participate in the written (main) examination held in September-October 2018. A total of 1994 test takers have achieved success for the personality test conducted in February-March 2019.
UPSC has 15 male and 10 female candidates in the top 25 results list. The second place in this examination is secured by Akshat Jain who has done his engineering from IIT Guwahati. Expressing enthusiasm in the talks with PTI, he said that he joined the Civil Services Examination for Social Service. Akshat’s father is an IPS officer while his mother, who lives in Jaipur, is an Indian revenue service officer.
