Union minister Nitin Gadkari on Sunday said that he does not give false assurances and values like honesty and transparency come in the long haul. Meanwhile, he also said that politics is a way of socio-economic reforms. Nagpur MP Gadkari addressing a program here said that politics is a competitive area, where people have to work according to their aspirations.
In response to a question about the qualities needed to make a career in politics, Gadkari said, “I have never chosen politics as my primary career. From my early days, I have considered the politics of social and economic reform, through which I can do something for the country, society and the poor people. There is no need for any quality in politics. “
He said that politics should be done honestly. Gadkari said, “I do not give false assurance and when I say that I will do it, then I do it … and if I can not say clearly then I can not do that. Values like honesty, transparency, patience, qualities, and commitment to work are used in the long haul. “
Gadkari further said, “The work that the central government has done so far is the first reel. The whole picture is still left. The BJP government wants to make India the world’s number one power and that is why the party is moving ahead with the principle of unity in diversity. Whatever role party will give to me, i will play with full devotion and will take the country forward. ”
