Rahul Gandhi has announced to contest from the Wayanad Lok Sabha constituency of Kerala. And he can also file the nominations from there. In such a way, Tushar Vellappally by NDA side will be a candidate against Congress President Rahul Gandhi. Although the BJP has no strong base in Kerala, but the party is trying to create a challenge against the Congress president in this southern state. Party President Amit Shah has announced to field Tushar Vellappally as the NDA candidate from this politically important Kerala seat, who is the President of Bharat Dharm Jan Sena. Amit Shah announced the candidature of Vellapalli from Wayanad by tweeting.
Vellappally had formed the Bharat Dharm Jan Sena in Kerala in 2015, whose president is now his son Tushar Vellappally. This is a component group of NDA in Kerala. BJP’s strategy is to overturn a strong candidate against Rahul.
On Sunday, Congress had announced that Rahul Gandhi would contest from Amethi besides the Wayanad seat in Kerala. Since then this seat has become the subject of debate. Rahul is going to contest elections for the first time from a South Indian state. Earlier, Indira Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi have also turned to the south.
Besides the BJP, the Left parties also claimed to defeat Rahul Gandhi in Wayanad. Some leaders even said that instead of fighting against the BJP, Rahul Gandhi has come here to fight against the Left in Kerala. We will defeat him with full force.
